Welcome to StoryMagic! A Family Festival 2026
StoryMagic are a theatre company proudly based in the Upper Calder Valley and have been sharing our annual pantomime and halloween magic show with audiences at Hebden Bridge Little Theatre for many years. Our partnership with The Little Theatre has always been so positive, and our audiences so delighted that we decided to create StoryMagic! A Family Festival.
The festival brings together a variety of magic, stories, music, craft and spoken word all under one roof, for one glorious week in August 2026. And with Calder Holmes Park and Playground being just over the canal what a wonderful place to spend time together as a family.
We have something for everyone. If you want to perform why not join our Family Play In A Day that kicks of the festival? Or you can craft, listen to stories, watch a magic show, write positive poetry!
As this is a family festival we anticipate adults joining in alongside their child so for all events all adults and children need a ticket (apart from babes in arms). Tickets can be bought for individual events so you can create your own festival programme. If you want to join in with many events best value is the Festival Ticket which gives access to six events. These are marked with a FP in the programme. Only 30 Festival Tickets are available.
